You probably want to add a location, and maybe a ballpark budget.

Good luck, hope to see you join the golf club soon.

Thanks for the tip... Added details:)

I know you want a golf, but what about my Ibiza GTI.
Same 2L engine as Golf, but goes faster

I`m in the trade, so always come across seats and golfs.

You are at the budget end of the Mk3 scale, so you will need one with big ks, or with things wrong with it, like heater matrix, electric windows and ac.

I think either spend another grand, or get one where everything has been replaced but the ks are higher.

I dont worry about ks with german cars, much more important that everything works imo.

Hi all...

Price: Not much to spend, looking around low-mid 3k?

Cheers

Check out carsales.com.au or drive.com.au. Mk3 GL price range are between 5 - 7K depend on conditions/mileage. As Golfloon said, with your budget you'll probably get something with big headache, VW are great car but repair bill is not something that you want to see, so be careful if you find a real bargain.

Thanks for the tip guys.. I'll bear that in mind when looking..
I guess I can stretch a little on price to make sure I don't get a dud.

So a well looked after mk3 with everything working but with 300,000kms is okay ?
