Skoda Compliance plate on VW-MK6 Golf

Hi,

I was looking at the Golf mk6 and noticed the compliance plate says Skoda on it and not VW is this normal ? Has anyone else seen this ?

Most likely the people that put the compliance plate on (Patricks ?) stuffed up.

I've heard a few stories recently on errors on complance plates, and it can be a real hassle when selling or re-registering a car in a different state (which is about the only time anyone ever really looks at the compliance plate).

It seems that VWA haven't been very active in getting the problem compliance plates fixed, either.

Might need to be something added to the "New car delivery, list of things to be checked by the new owner".

Hi Yes, I got a Golf late last week and it has Skoda compliance plates as well...I have called the dealer to get this fixed.

Anyone have this issue ?:duh:

Mine's VW compliance plates (thank goodness) so it's either probably a bungle at the NSW end or Skoda has been picking the slack

I was told this was done at the build stange. The dealer is looking after this for me best service ever. How do I tell which factor this came from ?

They all come from Wolfsburg.

10th letter should be a W within the VIN.
