Hi all,

the 6.5inch subbys I got (I like a little noise, not a lot and don't want to lose boot space with subby boxes) are a little too big for the holes on the rear doors.

I've grabbed some mdf spacers and cut and sanded them down last night so they fit in the holes. the only issue I have is the screw holes on the speaker plate don't match up with the screw holes in the door (they are a further out then the door mould holes).

do I screw the mdf spacer into the existing holes and then use smaller screws to attach the speaker to the mdf spacer ?

or drill a hole in the spacer and try and do a dodgy angle to fit the screws into the original holes ?

thanks in advance.

Yep.

Which subs are you running? How much power are they getting? Are you doing anything else (deadening etc) to the doors?

Very interested to hear about how they go.

best laid plans, still too freakin big.

but just getting them in the doors, nice sound, will need to dynamat the doors I think, bit of rattle.

as the coyote would say, back to the ole drawing board.

I think google will be my friend tonight.
