I got an R/C drift car for christmas. It is fantastic fun, but I had to get a golf body to fit the TT01 chassis. After seeing that there is no Mk2 option I found the old skool Kamei Group3 racing golf - but it's too small for the chassis I've got. Some place in the UK has redone the Mk4 golf body but this is what I settled on.

Check it out

I brought a tamiya rx7 drift (TT-01D) just before Christmas, best thing i ever brought. I really want to get my hands on a vw cover for it, i have been looking around but the few i have found didn't suit the chassie i have, where did you get your's from?

thats looks awesome......love the stance of it :D

HOWEVER, the only REAL drift r/c cars are the Yomoko ones IMO. Took my mate 2 weeks to build his..., but it's properly set up like a real drift car (ride height, spring rate, toe, camber etc.). Some of the jap drifters have them to look like their real cars and spend a fortune on them. can be very expensive.... especially when you have to order parts from japan :(.

Yeah Silver dub, I got the RX-7 aswell I quite like that sheel too. I just got this on ebay - pretty cheap from Australia. I think I will have to get an M-class chassis just so that I can get the Kamtec Mk1 body, looks so awesome. Especialy the old school racing paint job.

The drift cars look cool, but I have always had Nitro fueled beasts ;)

My first from waaay back, got a Kombi Shell for this one too, although it's still unpainted and unused:

I found that a little too limiting in where I could drive it... so I solved the problem :D

See:

And a few friends for it:

And a mini monster:

There was a baja shell for the monster available, but this gear has been in a box for a while since it can become a pretty expensive little hobby, really should get it out again and have some fun...

I bought a Ferrari FXX Tamiya for my mates 21st birthday and this week and since he needed a friend to race against i got myself a Golf GTI MK V today.

What a tonne of fun they are. Zooming around on the back patio slide through a series of water bottles. can't believe i didnt get one of these earlier in life.

can't wait to get down to the track at tempe and have a go for real. soooo much fun.

*might go for a drive now down the local netball courts....*

I'm building a Yokomo Drift Plus with a brushless motor system running on LiPo packs at the moment, have an S15 shell for it but trying to find the right dub variant to mount on it :)

Some nice rides there Aaron, which engine does your Revo have in it?
