I've got a aluminum 'racing' jack off eBay a few years ago, it is 900Kg rating so only can lift my Mk1, it is absolutely useless for the Mk4.
I'm hunting for a good low profile jack, at least 2000Kg rating, I'm sure many of you have one, where did you buy yours ?

i got an ebay cheapy that goes veryyyy low same as this one http://cgi.ebay.com.au/2-5-TON-LOW-PROFILE-SERVICE-JACK_W0QQitemZ320348250619QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Ca r_Parts_Accessories?hash=item320348250619&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A4|65%3A1|39%3A1|240%3A1318 its not the greatest jack to have graced this earth but its large and sturdy and very low profile :) and cheap to tide you over until you find a better one. keep in mind that full low profile workshop jacks weigh 50kg, they're not supposed to be portable at all.
