Hi, has anyone fitted an oil temp gauge?
i wanna fit one, was it easy/hard, etc

have a look at post # 165 onwards of this thread. Cogdoc found out it is better if the probe for the gauge is actually in contact with the engine oil (rather than air) ;)

Oily air thankyou very much....
And it's an easy task to get a sump plug with a specific sensor hole for the engine, and just bolt it all in. Make sure the wire is long, as it gets a bit of a twist going!

Ive got one in my mk3 but its easy to do on mine as there is a blank on the oil filter mount that i used. Unsure about late model tdi's tho :)

There is temperature probe from VDO which replaces the oil dipstick, that could be the fastest way to fit oil temp. gauge.

42 draft designs has a sump plug which u can put ur oil temp sensor in it too.
