View Full Version : Late model SILVER Golf for wanted for TV commercial - Sydney

Hi All,

Car TV and Film agency Vantage Management is looking for a late model VW Golf to 'star' in a TV commercial being filmed in Sydney CBD area on Sat 31st Jan (this weekend). Car must be SILVER, 4 door prefered but 2 door is a possible.

Car will be in a traffic jam in the commercial and will need to be driven at crawling pace only a few metres by a female actor.

It will be an early start (maybe 6am) on Sat until around midday. Owner is welcome to hang around and watch the filming and eat from the catering truck!

This is a paid job for the right car.

Just found out that the car needs to be auto as well, actress can't drive a manual!!

Bugger. I was thinking my Silver '01 GTI could work but no, it's manual too. Surely we can get a reflex DSG mkV along???

Just found out that the car needs to be auto as well, actress can't drive a manual!!

cant she just pretend to be able to, isnt that her job anyway :P

I think this ad is now on TV. I saw a Telstra ad last night where a silver 5-door mk5 Golf is slowly driving along what looks like a motorway with a young brunette girl behind the wheel talking to her dad (aussie actor, i think it's John Jarratt from 'Wolf Creek') on her bluetooth kit.

Has anyone else seen it??

pretty sure it was an auto, they were the requirements for the car.

Just saw it now - if it isn't the same ad it would be a big coincidence.
