Welcome to the forum cranedoctor.

Nice ride's for sure.

I like the way the original 20vt engine mount has been used to instead of the little mk1 mount.

I'm sure a 250+hp powered caddy would catch alot of people off guard! haha

Look forward to seeing more pic's & somewith with the Aust. scenery sometime soon.

here are a few images of my caddy sport.
These are a rare breed with apparantly less than 500 made, most in the uk have been de-kitted & raped so they are getting rarer by the week...
I have dropped a G60 in it to make it a bit tastier, it originally had a toned down 1.8 gti 8v in it.
as you can see it also has a factory GTi interior

Welcome to the forum mate, and soon we will be able to welcome you to Australia.

Mate, you have just turned me a bright shade of green with envy! I love both of your dubs, and if you bring them to Oz then you would be one of a lucky few to have them in the whole of Australia.

Cheers for uploading pictures of the cars mate, G60 are a supercharged engine aren't they? Which cars did they come in? Sorry I just know very little about them, they seem really cool.

you will be very close to where we settle mate so you will be one of the first to have a ride!

The G60 (G-Lader) is supercharged (bit like the merc kompressor), they were only fitted to a few models, i know that the golf rallye (4WD) was one & the most common is the corrado G60

They are std at around 180bhp but can be tuned pretty fast, there`s a local guy that has a Mk2 golf with a Jabba tuned one (although he is about to change it again for a 1.8 20vt (these will tune to 300bhp)

My 1.8 is frightening to drive (especially in the wet), i would not like to think what it would be like tuned more.
It will lose traction at 70-80mph & spin the wheels......

my g60 needs a custom exhaust which should be fitted in around 2 weeks, i have only driven it slow up to yet due to the narrow bore exhaust but it does sound different

Thanks for the offer mate, I might just take you up on it actually, it would be sweet to have a ride in one. Thanks for the response also, it's good to learn something new everyday.

Welcome to the forums Ian. Those Caddy's are seriously sweet and definitely out of the norm down here. Me thinks that you will give plenty of V8 ute drivers a big scare when you make it down here. :D
