BBS RS's with 280mm brakes

What is the best option to fit these rims with 280mm brakes ?

At present the inner bolts that hold the centre's on catch on the calipers, do I just get spacers, are they legal & safe OR do I grind away some material from the caliper ?

What offset are the RS, I am surprised they don't fit? I'd get some 5 mm spacers and keep quiet about it.

Use spacers, it's easy and you don't have to drag out the 4 inch and start modifying. :brutal:

They're safe, but i don't think they're "Technically" legal. :)

The 280mm calipers are a pain - many members here have had troubles fitting on wheels cos of this. Most have just used spacers (coupled with longer bolts) but another option is opting for the 288mm upgrade. The calipers are considerably thinner and wheels that don't clear the 280mm have been known to fit on 288mm (e.g. Mk4 steelies).

The RS I have are a ET25, looks like spacers then it will be, then the rubber will most likely rub on the guards.

I had dramas with my 280mm brake kit, now sorted with OE carriers from VW @$180 ea when I didnt get them with my kit from the US.

Thats handy info there, if I had have known this before I got the kit, I initially thought the other way round.

When i had my 16" RS i shaved a bit of my calipers and had 3mm spacers just to make sure. Mine were ET25 too.

5-7mm spacers are plenty on a MK3 VR6, I'd say the rado would be similar.
