Sometimes it just gets confusing and i think this would be a way to make everything easier. and if your really keen could even have a photo section or aftermath type section.

If people add [SYD] or [MELB] or similar to the start of their thread title it would go most of the way there. I don't think we need to have more than one section for meets.

I quite like the idea Shaneth.
Often threads get lost due to an upcoming event in another state.

Exactly what i think Loon. Its quite easy to loose a thread especially when you start to organise a cruise month or so in advance by the time its close if there is no replies it can be pages back.

I'm finding that with our DOVW coming up, it's sliding down the list.

However, I see that Sydney Meets are sticky, but no others are (reeks of discrimination).

I agree. separating events by state would be much easier to use and it would look much neater too

Yeah would be useful. Had to bump a post last night for that reason. It was suggested a while ago but there wasn't much response...

Another idea might be to have a 'Past Events' section. Once a cruise or whatever has been and gone, lock the original thread with all the planning and chat, then have a new thread with photos etc after. The ECCA forum has both these ideas running pretty well.

Because you asked for it, we might just give it a go for a while, you will notice now that events has a few subsections :)

Would it be too much to ask mods to throw the most recent threads into the relevant categories? That would be the icing on the cake :D

as I suggested it to start off with, I'll volunteer my services if admin want them. Make me a mod for a week and I'll sort it out.

Just a idea.

Looks really confusing now IMO - following a thread title format like before seemed better! Guess we'll see how the new set-up goes.

I think if the threads were moved into there rightful state it would be alot less confusing.

Or delete events that have already occurred...Would free up some bandwidth too...

I've just moved a couple of upcoming things for WA by myself.
Whoever created the thread has the ability to move it and leave a redirect; ie no need to be a mod :)

If we clean up the current events I think that would be a good start & leave the past events where they are.

Just had a look in the events section. Makes it mush easier to use in this format

i just noticed that there is nothing in the NT events. Does that mean that there are no people here who live in NT??
