Loon sent me a set of Seat Cordoba seats from Sydney. Freight was $88. I got:

front seat backs;
rear seat split fold backs and split fold bases;
front seat bases but no frames.

Doing the fronts was easy. The fabric on the bases was pretty dirty so I took it off and put it into the washing machine. It came up a treat. The rest of the seats had relatively clean fabric so I decided to shampoo them after the seats were installed.
Basically, after removing the wire and plastic pins, the base fitted directly onto the Mk1 frame. They are identical. The seat backs are also identical so they too fitted straight on.

The rear seats were quite a different proposition. I couldn't use the Seat foam padding on the Mk1 rear seat back frame. It just wouldn't fit. My mrs sewed together the fabrics from the split fold and we spent hours stretching and swearing at it as we tried to get it over th Mk1 padding. It just wouldn't go. In the end, she sewed in the sides of the split fold fabric along the bottom of the seat back fabric to increase it's width. She did a great job and afterward it went on with no problem.

The rear seat bases (split) went on with no problem...however it just doesn't look right. There's a bolster that to my mind should be at the front of the seat base but there was no way that the foam bases would fit the shape of the Mk1 frame. Ideas, please?

Nice work and good write up mate.

I have shortened the seat bases on the rear of the mk1 seat. Cut the curved corner and move it back to make the seat base smaller. Weld or screw it together and padding should go over it.

I bet you were cursing me trying to get that back seat in. ;)
Looks schmic mate.
What about some similar fabric doortrims? Easy to do :) Yours look ok as is tho.
