That is what happens when you wake up at lunchtime, the oldies have done the days business already!

Bring it up to mine and we can cut the springs and paint the calipers! :p

Sorry I missed you before...

I think that the only way you will ower that car Paul is to remove the wheels! That way it is reversible before the parents get home!!j: .
Lose the roof racks on the cruises too mate! Whats the performance like? I haven't had a 1.6 in yet. Not a lot of them around.
Kerren and I have some GTI rims too. Hers have the tyres too and they are for sale if not already sold.:)

Straight line performance is exceptional for a 1.6l. It noticeably lacks torque, however I would say the motor is on par with my old Mk3 2.0l (if not superior). Handling is also superb for a standard car; as a driver you don’t feel disconnected from the car, ride comfort is firm without being uncomfortable, and turn in is shape & responsive.

Me like button off…

Andrew, you’ve got another Mk5 customer. Also PM me a price for Kerren’s wheels & tyres – I’ll see if I can word up the old’s to buy them!

Cheers.

I think she wants about $2000. Tyres are like new, they cost $410 each, I know!!!!! The wheels are absolutely like new. The calipers would have to be painted (!) and the brakes could look a bit lonely???!!!
They would look great on the car though.
I'm glad to see they bought a mk5, for sure! :)
Looks like it has the early VW hatch emblem? The late ones have the VW built up and aren't flat finished

Andrew, no luck in convincing the parents to buy the wheels. :(

$2000 is a great price for gti 17’s – someone will snap them up…

brackie, put them on your TDI!
