MK2 Golfs[Jettas are fantastic,as they were so simple, and very reliable.
WAS YOURS from the UK.
And sorry to say,I much prefer the double headlight origional grille.
In South Africa the later models,as well as the top of the range models had the 4 lights,as opposed to the 2 lights on pre 1988 CSL and CSX models.

G'day mate and welcome,

this really is a lovely car in great and original condition!! Thank's for sharing the photos with us! The Mk2 is a very reliable car and also very popular in Europe, I would even say the most reliable vehicle ever made by VW.

Congratulations on the purchase! I am really jealous! :)

P.S. the new (two headlamp) grill looks super!

no its ex japan believe it or not but its built in wolfsburg. i like both stiles off grill myself for different reasons, when i first bort the car i liked the four eyes look then i picked up a two eyes grill for $20 and wasn't sure if i wanted to fit it or not but i did, after i had fitted it i still couldn't make up my mind witch i preferred until i crashed the car and was forced to go back to the four eyes grill for a wile, it just didnt look right to me any more so i bort a new two eyes again, it suites me better. here is a pick.
