The one next to the one you put the owner's wallet into? It has a funny curved cut-out in the lower edge. What's supposed to go in there?

I only ask because it appears to be shaped to suit a specific purpose. Having owned BMWs I thought there might be a rechargeable torch maybe or another auxiliary power outlet or a refrigerated compartment or maybe even a dock for servicing computers to be plugged into for diagnostics. I can't see any reference made to it in the owner's manual though, so I guess it's just a weird shaped void with a cutout in it for no particular purpose.

Exactly! When you're pulled over for a breath test by the cops, just explain that you never keep your wallet in your car because you don't want any trouble :nana:

lOl :) it does look to have a certain purpose. I use mine for leatherman/other small stuff. It would be a good place to keep an ipod that is going to be docked to the headunit.

I keep my business cards in a holder and a couple of notebooks in there. They fit quite nice and snug so they don't fall out. Other than that I've got no idea if anything is acually meant to go there. The glovebox is pretty small and crappy anyway and as it is there is a distinct lack of cubby holes etc in the MkIV.
