Andrew (gtimk5) let me drive his car this weekend. Why do people buy Commodore V8s  ? This car is a rocket but it's completely docile in "normal" driving mode. At first I took off and thought, "So what??? It feels just like my TDI...about the same torque..." but then I got the revs up over 4000 and whoosh!!! off she went. Impressed is an understatment as I was amazed at just how quick it is.
For those contemplating colour coding their Mk5s.. Just do it. Same goes for flashing the ECU. Andrew's car looks very distinctive now colour coding's done.
(I know you petrol-heads think that I've only ever had diesel cars, but I've had a few hot octane guzzlers in my time including a very fast semi-track 'Cooper S and I can appreciate power at revs when I feel it. ;) )
