swaping over the k jet system from the 1.8 8v engine to the freshly rebuilt 2l 16v engine. wondering if the warm up reg has to go on the block or does it just work off the voltage supplied to the bi metalic spring. is there anything else i should know about this conversion.

It bolts on the end of the block on a 16v engine, above the gearbox, but it can go anywhere. It will also work without it, but not as well.

I would be looking for a 16v reg if you can get one there is a vacuum connection on it which is the acceleration enrichment.

I reckon it would start badly without a reg fitted.

I would use a 16V metering head too if you can get one. I would think it better suited to running the 2litre over the 8V variant. The shape of the insides dictates the mixture to a greater extent than you can alter by changing fuel pressures with the regulator. What ECU are you going to use for the sparks? Is the engine based on a 9A or a KR
