Hey all..
I've got an iPhone 3G and I'm seriously considering using some excess cash from my novated lease to retrofit an RNS510.
However, I feel that without the full bluetooth experience, it's a bit of a waste.
Does anyone have the screen dialling and MFD, etc working with an iPhone 3G? If so, which Bluetooth module are you using?
My research says that the VW Premium kit doesn't work because the iPhone doesn't support RSAP. Apparently (not sure how) the Skoda unit does work, and I'm not sure how good Volk-L is.
Any thoughts from the gurus on VWW? :)
Cheers

I hope someone does have an economical answer for this, as I have the same car, incl colour, but have installed the AVIC9000, which uses the "phone" steering wheel button for menu swapping. The bluetooth on it is crap, mainly due to the mic being on the lefthand side. I would love to have an independent bluetooth solution, and incorporate the phone button, but maintain the volume buttons on the AVIC.
Am I dreaming?

Yes, i have it working with a 3G iPhone, RNS 510 and the unit seen here (http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=3488355).
Full MFD display and dialling via RNS too.
This unit i have does not have RSAP, its the std unit and not the premuim.
The only difference is the RSAP profile which is not big deal to me.
It all works great.

I would like to achieve the same thing. I am getting the AVC9000 but want to use a seperate bluetooth kit. Want the AVC to use th volume buttons and the BT kit to use the phone button
Has anyone got this working?
