Groovy. Makes the new one nearly look like a people mover. Anything interesting said in the actual article. My German, she is not so good.

Mannn...I'd have both if I could! But if I couldn't I'd have either. I'm not that old :nana: so I don't think I can appreciate the old as much as you OLDIES can; but the mk1 still makes me pants-happy...hahah

Very very cool machines. I'd take either, although the MKI with the interior and brakes of the latest beast could also work for me :D

You're older than me..you lose. j: I don't know what it is but I've never been able to get into the old stuff (for anything) as much as others can.

bunch of nostalgics. ;)

I'll take the GT24.
321hp / DSG - it's full of goodness.

I like the exterior look of some old cars, but just can't get over the daggy interiors - crap steering wheels, vinyl (?) seats, ordinary ergonomics, lack of airconditioning, decent sound system etc, and of course, their typical lack of airbags, decent brakes etc

i love both cars, the only drawback is that they are both FWD (please correct me if im wrong).

Easy choice ... old one for track (Classic cars events) new one for road ... oh ... that's right, it's a 'race' car. Standardise the exterior and ... new one for road.

I like older cars. They make you actually drive instead of doing everything for you.

A trip to sydney in the Karmann Ghia is a real joy all the way, whereas if you do it in a new car, it's set the cruise and move the steering wheel a bit most of the way! :)

this is so true.
For me some cars are such an experience to drive. Most modern cars are just bland in comparison to older ones. Its not about ultimate grip or fastest straight line speed. Its more about how a car reacts when its driven at its limits. Or the sound it makes. Or the feel of the steering. some cars just put a big grin on ya face.

Agree with you guys completely, my car is now 16 years old and has plenty of character to drive. No other car i have driven feels like the Corrado turning into corners ! I would like something newer as well now, because i don't want to use the Corrado as a daily anymore, feel its time to stash it away and have either a Mk4 R32 or Mk5 GTI.

I'm really starting to like Mk1 Roccos, and that one takes the cake...

Those rims are damn nice, remind me of these, also damn nice and light !!
Could be tempted to ditch the RS's for these
