Is there such thing as heat resistant chrome paint? I know its a strange thing to ask for but does it exist and has anyone possibly used any?

Try Autobarn - they stock VHT stuff. I remember one of my mates using some type of chrome paint on his engine block before so they're definitely out there.

Edit: http://www.speco.com.au/vht.html - I had a quick browse and can't seem to find heat-resistant chrome paint... they've got "cast aluminium" paint though? Anyway, if VHT doesn't have the stuff, give a visit to an auto paint shop. VG Autos @ Girraween (Amax St/Rd/Ave; same street as Seb's workshop) might have what you need. http://www.vgautopaints.com.au/
