Hey Everyone!

I'm Tristan, 20 years old. Studying Film and Television Production and Film Finance Management. I moved to Brisbane last year February from Cape Town, South Africa.

I drive a 1995 VW Golf VR6. I got her dead stock standard. After having her for two weeks decided to get to modding. (In South Africa, VR6s are alot more popular than here).

So far, I've done.

This is the bonnet and side fender after a good wax job - spent the last weekend, giving her a proper cut, polish and wax...took the whole of sunday afternoon, but so worth it.

Hey Tristan!

It's BJ, glad you finally took my advice and joined up! :nana:

The VR is looking sweet as usual.

I was talking to your bro on boost the other day, it seems he also shares the VW love. Must be in your blood!

Welcome to the forums man.

I might add that this is the car that singlehandedly inspired my love for VR6's.

It's easy to see why! One of the best looking VR's i've seen IMO.

Welcome to another South African.
I am from Johannesburg, and have been living in Melbourne for 8 years.
My love for VW started in SA...had 2 Jettas there,as well as one in America.
I now have a new Jetta here as well.
The VR6 Golf is an awesome car...just keep those alloy wheels looking great.
Those were the ones fitted to the VR6 Jettas in South Africa, the Golfs used another design mag.

Welcome to the forums Tristan; there seems to be more and more VR6 owners surfacing up! You should join up with the Qld crew for some cruises/meetups :bigok:

Thanks for the comments guys!

Lorenz: I got the headlights from AutoStyle in Johannesburg, South Africa.

I decided to sell the debadged 2 Fin Grille, so if anyone is after a pretty much brand new, unpainted, debadged 2 Fin Grille, let me know.

I've taken the original Grille, and sprayed the VW emblem black, doesn't look too bad, I need to take more photos.

RayRay: Would definately like to meet up with some more VW's, feels like I'm on the only VR6 driving around Brisbane lol.

You after South African style VR6 wheels? Not the multi spoke, but those sort of flat 5 spoke ones? I'm pretty sure I know of a few people in SA selling them... I'll get hold of them and get some prices for you.
