Hey guys thanks for the welcome!

I dont mind irish jokes at all once the are funny,i have plenty of oz jokes in reserve, the only thing different between us is the weather :)

Im from kildare, about 30 miles outside dublin, nice and rural but full of city folk!!

The boxter breaks compared to stock is like night and day,ive never once experienced brake fade since fitting thme, and ive tried hard including 2 hard laps of the nurburgring, the are fantastic brakes!

Welcome Shane. The Bora is mint. Stealth FTW

Any advice on changing the rear boot emblem (will MkIV Golf items fit?) and how hard was it to swap the steering wheel over?

You've driven on the 'Ring? You lucky bastard! What lap times did the 4Mo manage?

The rear badge on the boras is screwed on from the rear through the boot lid, unlike golf badges which are just stuck on,you take off the inside trim of the boot(easy) pop out the ball joint on the lock and unscrew the 2 screws, unfortunately you are restricted in using badges from other cars as the lock is integrated into the badge, but colour coding looks sweet,if you have a silver, gold or blue bora say you could just colour code the back of the badge and leave the VW emblem silver or even black(sweet!)

The steering wheel is easy enough to change, you need to pop off the air back first, adjust the wheel to its lowest and furthest out position and then get a thin flathead screwdriver, there are 2 holes on therear maybe an inch or so deep there is a spring you need to unhook in there for the airbag to come off,if you have a new steering wheel beside you waiting to go on,just look at the spring on that for reference, the tricky part is the airbag make sure the key is out of the ignition(no need to disconnect battery thats an old wives tale, but disconnect it if it makes you feel better)
Before touching the airbag plug touch something metal like the door lock to get rid of static, then simply unplug airbag and gently place to one side(airbags are serious things lol)

The steering wheel is held on by a single spline nut (wsize 12 if i remember right)lock the steering wheel and loosen the spline, splines are very soft and its easy to either ring the threads or ring the teeth so hold the socket and extension straight up and apply decent downward pressure always.

hope that helps??

As for the ring,as a tourist its hard to set decent lap times as you never get a proper lap you leave the car park through cones and return into the car park at the end of each lap,its so much fun although the fear as you first go out is crazy!!

Heres a youtube link of a section of one of my laps (and before you mention it the ACDC tune was put over it long before i joined here,im not looking for some brownie points ha!)

This was my first lap and i had never been on the track before so i was a little tentative(excuses ....lol)

Ok so its been a while since i updated this thread, finally went forced induction on my car with a VF engineering stage 1 kit,i had to take a bit of a road trip and drive to London to get the job done but it was worth it.

To say i am pleased would be an understatement, the car is a real animal now, drives very smoothly and delivers the power right across the rev band but after around 4,500-5,000rpm it just goes nuts!

No BHP figure yet but i will be getting it dyno'd next week.

Well folks and folkettes today i had the Bora on the Dyno.

previous run 211bhp/206 torques

Supercharger run 270bhp/234 torques

A bit down on what i was hoping for,i normally run 99 octane fuel but was forced to top up with lesser quality fuel on the way to the run, plus i don't think the map has fully bedded in yet.The OEM cat is also prettty restrictive on the flow esp with the charger. So hopefully if can rectify those few little things i should atl east see the 285 i was aiming for.Im still very happy with 270 and esp happy with the way the car drives,it really shifts!

My camera isn't the best so the video didn't come out to well but here it is - turn your sound down!

Bringing the old postup. The links to the videos are broken, did you remove them? Did you get to fiddle with the exhaust?
