Just trying to decide on a suitable LSD for my 20vt conv.
I dont have much experience with this stuff so can anybody tell me anything about Quaife diffs compared with Peloquin? What's more expensive etc?
Cheers,
Wade

Quaife has a more reputable name.

The rest is very similar. I'm waiting on my pelequin to come off back order and then the rest of my stuff gets shipped :D

What's your application?

There's a good article here on the different types of diffs.
http://www.bildon.com/catalog/about/diffs.cfm

Have a look here for some LSD options (select from the list on the left for peloquin, quaife, wave trac, bildon etc)

They're as good as eachother, they're both ActiveTorque Biasing. You'll usually find that the peloquin is a bit cheaper and they supply the diff-bolts to replace the rivets and the shim kit which apparently creates enough preload so that the torque biasing will even work if you have one of the front wheels in the air (like I'm ever going to be able to test that!). Also, they offer a no questions asked warranty - at least they did with mine. Yeah Quaife is more famous but I really don't think it would be any better, and it would be more expensive especially after you hunt down all the extra bits.

You'll love these diffs, I couldn't believe how much more grip they give.

This is where I bought mine from. They were good to deal with and had a very good price. Heaps of links for info as well.

They are both the smae thing. Peloquin copied Quaife because they didn't get the patent process right.

So just go with the one you can get cheaper. Keep in mind most peloquin kits come with everything (except pinion retaining plate in 02a boxes) you need to re seal the box.

The whole front end (engine, gearbox, subframe, etc) is coming out for the big engine swap. Am also doing all super pro bushes, power flex mounts, KW V3's, Eibach front and rear bars.
Its costing a fortune, but it's gotta be done right and there's no rush.
It will be for street and track.
Thanx again for all your advice guys, much respect!

The Peloquin TBD diff seems the go these days and are a good price. From what iv read in the US and Europe there have been no probs.

I spose Quaife is just a more well known name

Anybody got first hand experience with the wavetrac diff? Seems to be a neat solution if it's up to the task.
