Now that I have found this forum I am going to reply on all your knowledge to help me with some of my problems.
TODAYS PROBLEM: When I first bought the car 2 years ago (Seat Ibiza Cupra Sport GT1 2.0 16v) the ABS light was permanently on. When a mechanic removed the wheels to check the brakes he cleaned the sensors and the ABS light went off- problem fixed- but the light has been on for the last week and the mechanic has repeated the above sensor cleaning but this time the ABS light has not gone off. Will this self correct (fuzzy logic???) or do I need to take it elsewhere for further investigation?

get the car scanned for codes. This will give you more information to work with as the ECU will have logged a fault

A scan is the best way to go. It'll tell you which wheel sensor has the problem. If that is what's wrong.
