the only other ones i have are aircooled cars, not too many watercooled cars come to this show unfortinately, hopefully this year it will change.

Yes thats, Mr Woodward, AKA Golf3's uncle. It's a de stroked KR 1.6L with all the goodies. He took it out onto the track behind me when I had my trip down to the island.

Destroked to allow for the 16v head in the mk1, due to class restrictions I believe...

Other than that, you might have to ask him yourself, as I am uncertain if he is as forth coming as myself when it comes to modifications and details...

that car belongs to a guy names troy.
and yes. it has some rubbing issues up the front from memory at full lock. I helped him fix his fuel pump a couple months ago and we had to take it for a test spin.
I think he is registered on this forum? not sure.

Hey! You wouldn,t see pics of the not so good cars here. You have to enter! I went to a show and there were some pretty bad aircoolers there. The organisers were happy as that is the way that those people interpreted there cars. You don't need a show quality VW to enjoy yourself. A lot of those sort of people expect to get trophies for their work and go home really peed off when they don't win. They are the sad ones! :D

My car's a bomb & I still enter.
Not for the show & shine, just to park it inside!
I don't care too much for the show & shine anyway. Some people take it WAYYYY too seriously!
Maybe I might do something different this year. Matt Black!!!!

Your right WABIT that is a bloody nice notch. All of Vollkommen Art stable cars are mint & fast too!

Those Type 3s are beautiful, but I always wonder how how they are Classic Historic rego. Volkswagen never produced cars like that, so they are not Hostoric.

Where is the pic of the Green T4....he's watercooled too...

I had my Golf on CH plates for a while, it doesn't need to be standard to be Classic Historic. Just needs to be more than 25 years old as I understand it.

gtimk5
23-09-2006, 04:56 PM
Yes. I think thats about right. We have SI plates. (special interest) Your car has to be 30 yo or if its a competition vehicle it can only be used for that.

You have to have your log book filled in before you go anywhere, date, start mileage and where from. I got pulled up in my beetle at 6.25 am once. They ran to the car and requested my log book. I had already filled it in but with the previous days date. They read the riot act to me! Also, in Tas you can only do 50 days and 5,000 kms max per year. Half price rego though :)

Yeah so shiny and I like shiny, but the car reminds me of the '67 Triumph Spitfire Roadster I used to own :( I really miss that car..
