these are very nice unit's.
If i'm not mistaken they have a optical output?
You would most likely want to add a alpine RUX-C701 and H701 EQ with this combo.

Something else you need to double check if you getting it from Ebay US. Is that your radio frequencies will work. the US frequency ranges, are 86.1 to 107.3. the use the odd numbers not even numbers.

thanks.

this is from hong kong. and all the radio frequencies are made to work in australia (advertised on ebay aus)

and yes they do have a digital optical output. is that the optical cable like i have in my ps3? advantages disadvantages?

just found some SPX 17 PRO for $599 worth it?

ok again hong kong have different range, there radio's go from 78.3 - 90.1

So please just make sure.

Regarding optical, yeah same kind of cable as your PS3. Advantage, Pure digital lossless signal to your processor than if you can find an amp that does not cost the earth with optical in you can use that.

As for the new SPX pro's yeah for $599 seems to be a pretty good deal.
Again double check, these days apparently around 75% of all electronic gear on ebay is knock off's, not the genuine. If the gear is real like you are saying, then yeah both appear to be a very good idea.
