Hi All,
Finalising Superturismos.
Bright Silver or black?
For POLO Gti Candy White with Black bonnet spray.
Can't sleep, can't eat all because I cannot decide.
I think black'd look sexy as but black wheels look best with a machine polished lip but black superturismo is oohhh so uncommon in Oz.
Please help...any advice/opinions?
Pix attached (I hope)
Thanks in advance

I am having the same delema at the moment but mine's silver. I think with the lighter coloured cars (white, silver) that the black ones are the way to go, especially when you have the black bonnet (will help to blend it in). Take some piccies when you've got them on.

Black FTMFW!
Will work the best, contrast with the white nicely, but match and blend in with the black bonnet really well.
I think its a fairly clear decision now :P

Not always true. One of my mates has MRT brake pads which have brown brake dust so his black rime look filthy within a couple of days.

Was actually leaning towards those actually I think they'll look mean as where the top look more like race wheels.
Still want these the most:

but I don't know if they are worth $1505 delivered(no tires) from South Africa
trying to work something out with my brother-inlaws family (south africans) to see if I can get a set sent over cheaper, the AEZs are my backup plan
While I'm at it anyone running stretched tires on their Pogo?

Whubbsie...the best wheel, I want to put the 17 x 7" in place of my existing Polo Gti wheels 16 x 6.5", so you want a similar looking Gti wheels or exact the same??
I have sent an e-mail to TM Tunuing to see what their ship to Oz policy is re the AEZ wheels. let you know, they are quite tasty.

yeah i really like those GTI replica rims as well. i like the fact that they have a machined face to them, much better than the OEM rims IMO. if you are gonna get a set of those, you have to paint the internals gloss black so they look like the Golf GTI W12 650 rims...mmmm

I would keep the standard wheels if they were 17s, I like the look thats why I like the replicas but against popular opinion if I can't get the replicas I'm going for the black AEZs but they are 7.5" wide so might need spacer or shoe them with stretched tyres.

Speaking of painting your bonnet black, i was thinking of painting mine flat black along with the roof and the grills, and match the side skirts and front and back plastic bits to match the black magic duco

i havent seen pics of them for a long time, but you know what i love? i reckon the black/ white color scheme is really, REALLY cool.
e.g. gloss white/ candy white pog/ golf, with black r-line or tenzo powdercoated rims, and a black bonnet.
NOT carbon fibre, but just black. yummmmmmmmm

Thanks Whubbsie, didn't know about the weight but 8kg across 4 wheels aint' too bad. I'm ECU'd, SEAT intake and Engine Mounted so pull ain't a problem, I don't race just day to day street driving for me...thanks all for your input and no, I still have not decided what to do...black whels are still the priority with my white polo and black bonnet stripe. The AEZ Exite Dark 17" x 7.5" are looking tempting. They'd be rare in Oz and would suit the white/black thing....check this picture of them!!!! (attached).Wubs...17" x 7.5" offset looks ok hopefully shouldn't need spacer...hmmm might research a bit more..

Yeah I've decided to go with the Darks went to a few wheel shops this week and even without tyres and shipping they will still work out cheaper than the **** i can get here, just trying to decided on what suspension to go with and get that to put on at the same time.
