Hi Everybody,

I have an '07 R32 which is due for its 1st service... its only travelled about 7000kms, except the timer has gone 'service me now' gaga (12 months is now up).

I can think of many reasons why i would prefer to not take it in to the dealer with a name that sounds a bit like 'Nostril', quotes of $460 then $400 to start with.
Highway VW is quite a LONG drive also, although their pricing is closer to the mark for what is around an hours work - an oil, filter change, and diagnostic system check/reset ($301)! Can anybody give some feedback on the quality of their work please?

I would be more than happy to give the work to a decent VW service centre in Brisbane - preferably on the West side. Can anybody recommend a good/honest/experienced VW mechanic?
I obviously dont want to void my warranty, and would prefer to go to a specialist service shop rather than a dealer service centre - so long as they are VW approved.

BTW - we have had a number of problems in the past with cars being damaged while being serviced :duh: - is there a place which can look after our pride and joy?

Is it possible to check off all these requirements in this universe or am i asking too much?

Cheers,

Mischa

Damn straight about that. Jimmy serviced my R for me and did a brilliant job. While there are some differences between the MkIV and MkV at the end of the day 3.2L, haldex and that sweet sweet soud is where it's at.

Good stuff. Make sure you get in contact with him early coz it's normally a bit of a wait to get a booking.

Yet another R32 for a service . Cool things are looking up:biggrin:
Had a couple of Porsches too, one was a 1990 944, but hey its a Porsche and a good one at that and a 986 Boxster, good to see them coming through after all they are deep seeded with VAG background.
