Whats the difference between the mk4 golf 1.8T engine bay layout and polo gti 1.8t layout?
I notice the air box shape and the engine cover are different.
In terms of layout of the engine bay, not too much difference from what I have seen. If your talking about the shape of air boxes and engine covers then there is plenty of difference. :spy:
If you have an idea in mind it would be best to be more specific in your question if you want a better answer than the above. :sheep:

I am trying to search and see what parts are compatible from a golf mk4 and the polo gti.....

What parts are you thinking of transferring across from the MkIV to the Pogo?

There's quite a few differences - DBW, induction, exhaust, variable valves (although I think some later MkIVs had that), suspension, wheel/tyre combos and brakes, to name a few.

I thought the engine in the Polo GTi did not come fitted with VVT.

what about the pipe going into the intake manifold?
