Also does anyone have any prefered Sydney panel beaters that have a soft spot for Golfs?...

Cheers,

Good looking Mk2 It has a vr6 brake conversion, Id say by the 5 stud pattern. Where did it come from? Was it in the Belmore area?

What panel work does it need? I have lots of replacement panels for Mk2s.

Hi all,

yes it was from Car sales, picked it up for $4250.00
I recently sold my Proton GTi. ( great car )

just spent the day pulling the crappy blue tints off that were bubbled all over the place.

okay yes it has the 5 stud conversion with Audi A3 wheels, I dont know about the brakes, but they are larger and cross drilled.

Engine is a 2.0L 8V with the 16V gear box, its running Koni shocks and is a very stiff ride.

Im going to get the entire car resprayed in the original colour and retrim the interior.

The car came from the Ryde area.

Golf Loon , yeah Im not sure what I need but the panel beneath the hatch door is dented right in, and the hatch has some damage.

Also the front right panel near the head light has a small dent.

I will see what the Panel beater has to say, But If I need some stuff I will give you a yell

Take it Mark Hammond, 20 Ada Avenue, Brookvale.

Top bloke, he's had plenty of VW's in his time, he's been there since 1970.

Tell him a chap with a Corrado G60 sent you.

If you absolutely have to stay on the North Shore, then Derek Smith at European Autotech in Mona Vale.

Otherwise, Seb Najder at EuroAutomotive in Girraween.

Both will look after you well.

I saw a place in Pymble that might be worth checking out. It's called Pacific Motors. It's on the highway heading towards gordon. I found this link for them:

hey mate,

I would definately consider Prestige Auto in Artarmon. I have had a number of cars done their. Their work is exceptional and they don't charge alot.

for example, , i used to have a subaru forester that had black outside bumpers and guards. i wanted to colourcode it. So i went to Prestige first, which looked like the most expensive place and they quoted me 1500. i went to 5 other places after that including in brookvale and artarmon (there are heaps of shops in artarmon!) and i got quoted from 3500 upto 4500.

The work is guarenteed and their is no crap to contend with. they are happy for you to watch them do the work, and come in to see the progress as much as you feel necessary.

Ask for John and if need be, tell him Benny Hill recommended them.

Cheers,

Benny H

Most mentioned on these forums is European Autotech. I have also seen TCCA Motorsport mentioned, however they seem to have moved/changed/merged.

Has anyone been to the moved TCCA since the change in mechanics?

I am looking for a regular to do mk 5 servicing around North Shore.
