In one word no.

I am having them custom made by an Engineering firm that does alot of VW custom work.

Made from stainless steel, then polished, or powder coated black are the two options I will be examining.

Cost will be between $700 -$1000.

Yes, that's a good idea.....but with one t4 & one t5, I don't think we'll do any good.

It's probably worth talking with the guys on the Brick-yard site to get some recommendations on suppliers.
I found this one as well:

Or this from Germany

Hi Tapsy,

Any word on this?
Just driven to Alice, and I think my main concern is the wildlife. I had no issues with the cattle and kangaroos, but I nearly took out a flock of sheep that I came across traveling at the speed limit. The lights on the T5 are soooooo poor that I did not see them until I was just about on top of them. There was a small gap I managed to fit the van through without hitting anything.
So now - looking for bull bar and driving lights - a must for Oz nightime conditions in the outback.

T5 Bullbars have been well discussed already.

Sidebars are one of the easiest things to fabricate so they should be no dramas to design, construct and finish. Personally, I still don't understand what they actually do that's of any benefit but hey.....don't let that stop you.

Driving lights? My T4 has been wearing a pair of Lightforce LF140's for the last five years. Whilst the LF 170's put out even more light....they just didn't fit. Even so the 140's out throw any driving light I've seen until you get to the 4 litre bucket sized IPFs or Cibie Oscars....which they match. But are half the size and a tenth of the weight. Excellent product.

I run the Phillips +30 H4 globes in the standard reflectors.......so low beam is actually useful. High beam doesn't matter because the spots come on....

Thanks for the info, Seano. I'm looking for a nudge or bull bar to mount the lights from. Does anyone know whata lights are in the Multivan, and what we could substitute?

Nudge Bar - Qld Bull Bars or Baker & Priem
Bull bar replacement - ETT or Baker & Priem
Over Bar - Qld Bull Bars

I finally tracked down the bull bar noted in the "Dietrich goes to Broken Hill" thread. It is a bull bar replacement not an over bar unit. ETT made them for the NSW Ambulance Service.

Well after trying to track them down in australia without success Rob 64981 came to the rescue with some from the UK, he brought them out here for me!
I was very appreciative and I have now fitted them, had a little drama they are a steelworks brand and i needed to have the studs that go into the chassis re-welded as the were a bit dodgy as one snapped doing them up. BUT they are on now, and i'm happy have a look!

Looking very smart,

Will have to pop over and have a look at the finished article.

Did they fit on easy or was there any nightmares?(other than stud)

Glad to see they look good on your van.

Would you like some?

I have quite a few friends on there way over here.

Might be able to have a whisper in there ears and see where we stand.

I might be able to get other stuff brought out if you can think of anything.

Mmm.....

Could start my own import business...

took me a while to get them on, all day for the passenger side, with having to get all the 8 studs welded, painted etc and the drivers side took about one and half hours! most of this time is removing and modifying & replacing the splash shields. I also modified how the tubes fitted to the brackets slightly.

They arn't too bad although the tubing could be thicker they could dent easily, wonder how the difference is between the VW ones is? as these are copies of them.

there is a post on these side bars on brickworks, they bag this brand a bit.
