I was quoted
Bridgestone Adrenalin 205/50/15: $170 (OEM size)
BUT 195/50/R15 is only $120. would it be possible to fit these??
What else would you guys recommend for ~$150??

Science fitted 195/50's on his VR6 and he likes them from memory. To be honest, I think it's the better choice, since the VR6 BBS wheels are 6.5" wide. I believe the load rating on the 195/50 is correct too for the VR6.
By the way, 195/50 tyres are pretty cheap being a common size for 15" wheels on small cars. I think Pedro got his set for $100/each (I have them on the steelies now - they're Falken ZE329's and they're alright).

I don't know where these prices are from but I bought Contis 205/50/15 for $110.
And Kuhmo KU31's 205/45/16 for $110 aswell.

COol.. thanks guys ! Hey ray, the catalogue says max load is 475kg. So on 4 that would be 1900Kg. Should be Ok right since the car is only 1300kg.
What else would you guys recommend?
look at the load rating on the tyres. From memory the VR6 requires a relatively high one. Its written on your fuel filler cap I think?

195/50 will have a smaller rolling radius than the 205/50 ie the 195 will have to rotate more times per kilometre than the 205. This will marginally improve acceleration and also make your speedo read inaccurately. Try Kumhos I have found that they are quite good value for money.

yep i run 195's.
I also payed under $100. $95 each i belive it was. Fulda Attiro's. But i belive they are discontinued.
I have noticed no loss of grip with the 195's, and I don't think they threw the speedo much at all.
