Hi Guys
Just a quick question does anyone know if there is any type of paint/powdercoat stripper, that will take off powdercoat at all?
I have the schrick manifold but its powdercoated black I want to polish it :)
Just wondering if there any type of remover that I can use for it?
Thanks for the heads up
Steve :)

yea, i'd say get is blasted. sand or media is all good. wouldn't pay too much to have a manifold done though.

It only cost me $250 to have a whole beetle chassis sandblasted to bare metal and etch primed.
A manifold should cost beer money.

Oven cleaner gets anodising off, not sure how it goes with powder coat though? A possibility maybe.

Oven cleaner is great for spiders too, they just fall to bits! :D

I know for paint, industrial (aircraft?) stripper works well. Don't know about powdercoat though, as they were applied differently.
Chances are if you visit any powdercoater, they can do sandblasting! yellowpages.com.au!

No probs.. if you were in melb i could've given sandblasting a go for you. have one at work that works quite well. did all my engine tinware, petrol tank and steering arms for my 57 bug.
Cheers
