Ahh, you know the ones, mk3pete had them.
Well, now i have them, but they sorta look funny on my car, in gloss metalic black. I want to paint them. Either white, or matt or satin black.

If i do white, i will continue to use the clear(ish) front turns and reflectors.
If i do black i have a heavily tinted set of turns and some satin black reflectors to use.

So, what do i do?

PS, here is a shott, featuring my black reflectors, and some black headlight covers. I don't use them for driving.

Those full covers look tuff, but the "fake" dual covers look silly and cheap imo . . .

yeah, but these where basically free. I'll still thinking about matt black, and then tinting the headlights, so it gives me the effect of the full black lights, with the ability to see.

Hi
Never been much of a fan of the stick on quad covers (they look a bit cheap) and you are throwing good $ at the rubbish factory lights, when you could be spending your $ on what you want anyway...:)

ABT quads - see how the lights fill the space and push out to the corners (there are others that have this look too)

Morette Quads (mine) not cheap! the Hellas will have the pretty much the same grunt as these lights do and will be cheaper to buy than these!
And will still be better than the factory poos even with uprated bulbs. Save your money for when some Hellas come up for sale, I reckon

I've got Hella quads 2nd hand off K1LLZ, awesome low beams! Not mega thrilled with the highs - very thin pencil beam, bit crap on the sides - but they're still worlds better then stock.

Yeah I saw that you said that, I just thought for a second that rather than spending $ on even painting them you could just put that towards some quads.
If thats what you are really after - as per the pic of the blue VR

The ones Sean has on his ABF :)

Science, did you end up tinting the headlight lens? If so, what's the light output like?

What do you think of these? I think they are 'FKs' (or copies) too but without the 'halo' effect
