If you're desperate there is a copy in the state library. You can't borrow it but you can photocopy the pages you need.

I have a Corrado one here at home. It's about the most expensive one they do. Proper good info in it though. Saved me a fortune. Would be getting on for 200 dollars in Oz.

Anything in particular you want from it?

There are 2 kinds of Haynes, the service and repair(pants) and the Workshop. The workshop is the one with all the good info in it.The mk2 one has a green cover. Have a look on ebay.co.uk they often come up. If you see one and they won't post it here let me know, I have plenty of folk that would do it for me/you.

Hi!

i have found that Golf MkV 2.0TDI manuals are hard to come by - aside from logging into erWin ( https://erwin.volkswagen.de/erwin/showHome.do ) there seems to be no option to buy from a source like Bentley - Bentley do not list manuals the Golf 2.0TDI. Has anyone had any luck buying Golf MkV 2.0TDI manuals in print or on CD/DVD?

thanks.

I've had an one year subcription to erwin for my T5 Transporter 128kW TDi and I printed out to have a hard copy. It is a verry good source of detailed information for me.
How ever it is expensive becouse it comes in the sections.

I just ordered a couple of books from Amazon.com

# Volkswagen Jetta, Golf, GTI: 1993-1999 Cabrio: 1995-2002 Service Manual
# 1 of: Volkswagen Golf/Gti 1996 Owner's Manual

Total of US$85.99 which makes it a shade under AU$100 not too bad all things considered.

I have bought lots of things online before but I was still happily suprised how quick and easy Amazon.com is to order from.

...and now we play the waiting game...

Hey hawk,

Did you order the Bentley service manual? the very thick one thats red and is for 93-97?? golf, jetta, cab etc.... and vr6?

Borrowed one of a mate and its awesome. Everything u need to know. Unfortunatley i have to buy my own :( which sucks haha.

So the one u got is it thick and red and has black outline drawings of 2 golfs?

Yep, thats the one I'm getting.

The owners manual is for novelty value, basically the money I am saving from getting it from Amazon let me get the other book too... that and they were the only place I saw that had it :)

Price on the Bently was about US$44 + US$20 priority shipping. Considering the AU$ at the moment, quite good really.

I just bought my 99 passat manual from Amazon, way cheaper than the prices I found in Oz. I went normal shipping, and it arrived early anyway.
