Am looking at a set of BBS wheels for the dub, but they are not the right stud pattern (ie 4x114.3).
Just wondering how much I would be looking at roughly to get them redrilled to 4x100?
Thanks for any help,
Lorenz

About $60-80 for each wheel. Check to see if the design of the wheel allows for redrilling. Some designs may require you to fill in the old holes, then redrill over them. In that case, you'll need to add another $40-60 on top for the filling. Prices may be different in your area though... PM evorobin.

Cheers mate, can always rely on you for wheel query answers!!
From memory, they can be redrilled as they have a flat face on the back, but I'll have to double check before i get them of course!
16" BBS meshies, exactly what I've been after for the Golf :D

Ray is on the money. I beleive those 16s are flat back, which means most wheel places should did it for around $80 a wheel. Will be close to the centrebore so some places wont touch it as they arent confident in their methods.
Any other questions feel free to PM me as ive done the same with 15s see my 4sale thread.

Does redrilling affect the strength by much? Im looking at some compomotive MOs but they'll need redrilling, but i wont bother if theres a chance they'll crack

If I was getting them done I'd get the old holes filled and have the corrrect centre bore made. $400 for peace of mind :)

It's called 'inserting'. You make an 'insert' to fit in the holes.

Which company in Adelaide quoted that? Very cheap

Matt got those borbets drilled for $80 as they were already 4x108 but I'm talking about this

I also get the centre bore reduced to 57.1 so I suppose it's less than 400 for just the fill and inserts....

That was through Joe at WheelWorx. Was only a redrill, not fill and drill. Would have been fine on the RS' I was going to buy.

Bumping this thread again - I was very rough with my prices but I'd like to know some more accurate cost figures from shops. eBay auction ends really soon hahaha.

Tempe Tyres charged me $150 for changing the bbs for the audi from 114.3 to 112. Redrilling 4 wheels and supplying new chrome bolts.

No pics, but they look standard. 114.3 to 112 is only 2.1mm and the audi bolts are thicker. Its just a newly chamfered better located hole.
Oh yeah they supplied hub centric rings for that price too!
The only complaint I have is the casual way they chucked the wheels to one side and told me to come back tomorrow. I was very reluctant to leave em, but I was back there first thing and hassled em until they reappeared freshly drilled.
