Why would you bother? The cost of the actual unit, and then to fit it would be epic. For that kind of money I'm guessing you could buy a double din touch screen with dvd, navigation expandability, better tuning options and ipod control, etc.

The reason I would bother MKIVF is because I have one just sitting here that was taken out of my GTI and the one my missus has in her Polo is rubbish!

best option is to talk to the dealers, or a professional audio intall place. because none of us had that experience in the first place (or speaking for myself).

But putting that in, will be extensive work. you are looking at 500+ (custom facia). maybe you can sell that unit,and get one that fits striaght into the polo's

Sure you can cut it down to fit,

But the Polo runs can bus V 1.2 and the Golf's run version 2.0, so the lighting signals & the on / off signals wont function.

Do the Polo and Golf use the same Ipod adapters? I should at least give the missus my Ipod adapter now as I don't need it anymore I suppose.
