Hi there guys,

Hope eveyrone had/has a Happy easter :)
I was out last night and feeling slightly under the weather now. Drinking from 12.30 untill 10.30.
Fairly damaged now, plus im at work !

Quick one, through VAGparts i ordered the cubby tray plus the Piano black B pillars.

About 11 months ago my car got keyed all down the left hand side, from door to tail light. The place i took it to resprayed the whole door (didnt just blend) and resprayed the entire rear quater section etc.

The job they did is 100% incredible. You would never ever know it had been sprayed, the texture, colour and finish was spot on.

The ONLY thing i can winge about is the seal which runs along the bottom of the window is loose. When i am switching over the Bpillars is it possible to remove and re-fit this seal which runs along the entire lower section of the passenger window on the outside.?

Otherwise ill just take it back to the panel shop and politely ask them to refit it.

I think anything is possible, but the effort required is another thing. Maybe be a little bit dodgy and take it to the dealer on the next service and tell them the seal appears loose.

how much did the B pillars cost to get here out of curiosity? I think they look awesome on a polo with a nice tint!

You can find individual prices for parts.

I was soo close to ordering braided brake lines for the polo.

Likewise the cubby - been thinking about getting one of these for ages as the open dash seems next to useless to me.

Have you got the cubby yet? Whats the quality like?

I will be very interested to hear how the brake lines go, they are still on the cards but i didnt know if they would make much of a difference.

I already have new fluid (PBR) and EBC pads front & rear. You have to give the pads at least 500kms to bed in. They squeek like a bitch for the first couple weeks of driving and they are extremely dusty.

Now that i have had them on the car for a month or soo and ive done about 500 kms since getting them fitted i have noticed a few things.

-better brake bite
-less fading
-better feel
-alot less dusty than standard

However, my rear wheels used to never ever get dirty from brake dust, but with the ebc they get just as dusty as the fronts do (which isnt very dirty anyway)
But i guess this goes to say that the back brakes are working harder than before = better braking.

Overall very happy.

Track wise, some ppl on this forum say they have tried the EBC pads in the pog on a track and have found they arnt great :?... they mentioned the EBC's will eat the rotors. Not sure how true it is

Lucky you didn't - waste of money. These days both braided and standard GTI brake lines have kevlar inserts, the only real difference is braided lines are more aesthetic.
