Ordered my TDI DSG Jetta back in early April. Dealer said it would be 12 to 16 weeks wait and now it looks like it wont be here till August some time. The waiting is getting frustrating.

The longer it takes the more time my wife and I have to wonder if we made the right decision. I'm sure it'll be a good car but all this waiting means that you end up thinking about other suitable vehicles out there.

We've also been looking at an 2003 Land Rover Discovery diesel to replace our aging 2nd car. This exercise is bringing me to the conclusion that by and large 2nd hand car dealers are Pr!cks.

That's my Friday morning rant done, now I can look forward to the week end.

Cheers

Ls1 Cobra do you have it optioned heaps?

I ordered a TDI DSG Jetta 2 weeks ago. Dealer says it will be in the country July 17th and I will have it in 2-3 weeks, 4 at the max. I guess he may be making promises he can't keep. I have no options.

Not a lot of options, Blue graphite paint, anthracite leather with electric drivers seat, tinted windows and mats.

Maybe I should have tried a few more dealers befor sighning.

Dealer just rang to say the car will be ready the last week of August. Not long now.

I know it's been a long time but you'll find that your patience will be rewarded ;)

I second brackies statement. I waited 5,1/2 months, got flustered and frustrated but 2 days of driving my car with a huge grin I was over the previous feelings. Let us know how you like your new VW after you pick it up. Cheers :) :)

Good news Macca!

What was the I-pod adaptor worth and what does it do? ie do the steering wheel audio controls work with it etc

Cool,

I'll have to check that out when I pick my car up. Might be a job at the first service.

Picked my car up today and asked about the ipod interface. They reckon $199 fitted. I had a look at it and was expecting it to be a cradle or something for the ipod to sit in but it's just a fly lead in the glove box.
