Hi every one. Wanted to show you my 75 Mk1 Passat. Not many around in UK anymore. 35000 miles from new, one family owned before me. I put the wheels on and lowered it. Hopefully one day i'd like to have a 1.8T under the hood. Hope you like.

Welcome mate! Great looking classic and nice wheels. I had a '75 wagon (estate) back in the 70's that was that colour.
Vinyl roof! I'm about to do the same to my Mk1 Golf diesel as it sustained roof damage that's not repairable.
Give us your location in the UK.

That's the coolest Passat I've ever seen. Love the orange paint with brown vinyl roof. And the interior is so 70's, I love the steering wheel... It's got the funk for sure...

Yeh gtimk5 i know its there, the bloke tries to get me to work on the stinking piece of crap, i have changed points on it for him and set the timing, the bonnet being held down with hasp and staples and hingeing on old gate style hinges is certainly an original look. I will say its on the road every day and has a few hundred thou on the clock, gota love the reliablity

If anybody finds any interesting parts or accesories for a mk1 Passat let me know. There's nothing in my neck of the world. :?

Wow, looks fanatastic, have you seen the pictures of mine in the vBPicGallery?
Passats do rule. As you hope to do, I too want to upgrade the engine, I have been told, I can put a 2ltr Fuel Injected Turbo in with GTi brakes. What size wheels are you running? Do they scrape on the front guard too much.

The wheels that i'm running are 7x13 Minilites and at that size they dont really catch at all but when i upgrade the motor i'm going to have to put bigger rims on due to brake sizes. I really like your white Mk1. Certainly an exclusive club to be in, i've not seen any others in the UK show scene. :)

My 74 LS had the square lights, I think the rounds were limited to the TS series.

Fantastic car funktopus. We used to have a couple of mk1s in our family, till my uncle wrote his off racing with his mates opel manta. Ahh the memories. I grew up in that part of the world funktopus,(Heaton norris,Stockport). Must of been midsummer when you took those pics.

Thanks for the compliment. I am running 14x6 rims 185 60x14 tyres and they sometimes catch going up driveways and the like when I am only turning. I have found a good and cheap tyre called Barum Bravurius from the Czech republic or somewhere like that. I would really like to fit some Falkens, Hankooks or Bridgestones though.
