Golf Loon helps Cupra owner!

hi all,
I only found the forum a couple of weeks ago & have had a great time checking out the posts. I've owned my cupra since new when I got it from Autohaus in Thornleigh. Anyway, last Saturday I was doing my weekly car checks when the collar around the top of the dipstick tube snapped off! I made a call to VW at Penrith with the part numbers on the collar & dipstick but they couldn't help. It was then that I remembered that some guy on the forum had told someone else to ring him as he could help with a part problem. I quickly jumped online & found the post, rang the number & within 10 min my problems were solved, all hale the golf loon!!!! The part arrived in the post yesterday, car fixed today, happy Cupra owner again!

Thanks guys for the warm welcome, I'll try & get to the nats to have a look, A friend has 3 beetles & always goes so I might tag along with him.

I've been thinking about replacing the ibiza with a TT but now that i've found the loon i think i'll be holding on to her for a while yet!

I noticed in another post that there were only 52 cupras sold in the country? When I got mine Autohaus said that it was the last in Sydney & possible the last of 300?

Loon any ideas?

that is one super clean cupra. dont sell it, its worth more than what you'll get for it plus its got the uniquenss factor :D

Theres still a few cupras in syd. Three are owned by blokes i know. A black one ive seen around Balmain. And the only yellow one ive seen used to live around Campbeltown Mine used to be one till i moved to Canberra.

Cool, thanks for the pic.

I think that the side skirts etc were colour coded from the factory for the yellow cars. Those aren't factory rims either, the car would have come with rims the same as mine except painted white, i think.
