I've been searching for a replacement vehicle for the missus for some time now. She has looked at so many cars and finally fell in love with the T Cross...to a point it is THE dream car for her. She says it is cute :)

Have been negotiating with the dealers across NSW. Brand New 2023 T Cross Style - no options are coming back at $36k driveaway...I got my GTI in 2020 for just a shade above $42k New. OK, granted it was in the middle of COVID but the price seems a bit too steep.

Anyone here have landed a better deal for a 2023 model? From my research and visits to several dealers - they have loads of stock for T Cross and T Roc. Zero stock for Polo (her initial love). Prices for 2nd hand cars seems to be slowly falling and I thought I might get a better deal.

Thoughts and tips welcome from the car experts here. Cheers!

36k is not a bad price for a new Style model, does it include Metallic Paint? In October last year, I bought a Makena Turquoise Life demo model from a regional dealer in NSW FOR $31.6k inclusive of delivery QLD rego and stamp duty. The car was built in Nov 21 and did include the Driver Assistance Package which is standard on the Style Model It had 8k on the clock.

The sound and vision package is the only option other than metallic paint that I am aware of now. In my opinion the sound and vision package is not worth it. The LED instrument panel is the basic version and looks cheap when compared to the Pro version fitted in the Golf Tiguan models. I have the basic MIB3 no navigation unit which has 6 speakers and the sound is pretty decent so unless your wife is a serious audiophile i would not bother with it. The beats amp also takes up space in the boot which she may need.

One thing I have noticed recently is the one Style model I saw at the local dealer here in Mackay had the semi autonomous Travel Assist fitted which is very handy if she spends alot of time on the highways This is not advertised as a standard feature so check for this button on the steering wheel which has a small speedo dial as an emblem where the Driver Assistance button used to be. The Driver Assistance button has now been relocated to the end of the indicator stalk with a small circle emblem scribed on the indicator stalk as seen on the latest Touareg models.
Hope this helps in making your decision.55114

It is 36k drive-away with pure white paint non-metallic. I was hoping for something in the 34-35k range :(

I agree with your assessment on the sound and vision package. It is definitely not worth it hence why we were after a model with no options.

As for the Travel Assist - I will definitely keep a look out for it.

Thanks for the info and price guidance. :)
