View Full Version : Disable warning "For your own safety, please follow traffic regulations at all times"

I have a Transporter T6.1 and every single time I turn the engine on I get a message on the nav display: "For your own safety, please follow traffic regulations at all times."

A few other forums have said change 5F - Byte 23 but when I go to 5F, there is nothing at Byte 23 (pics attached). I'm assuming that perhaps the 2022 T6.1 codes have changed?

Is there a way I can find this message within VCDS to disable it?

OBDELEVEN does it in about 15 secs in most VW's

Is 5F
Byte 23
initial Disclaimer off
Legal disclaimer off

With OBD you can show the bytes with those words beside them and so you can turn it off as above

In the hex view all bits are unticked in my Tiguan in byte 23 with above settings

Try looking under 5F Adaptation - Function_configuration_hmi
There are settings for on/off for both hmi_inital_disclaimer and hmi_legal_disclaimer.

Thank you so much, finally I don't have to press okay to clear a traffic disclaimer everytime I start the car.
