Owner's Manual PDF

Can anyone direct me where to download a PDF of the Golf 8 owner's manual, please?

I much prefer to use the search function in a pdf viewer, rather than manually searching using the unreliable index (stupid things, like looking up the index for "Battery" says "see Vehicle battery"; or "Key" says "see Vehicle key"). I found a place on the VW UK website to see it on-line, but not in a form able to be downloaded as a pdf

Haven't been able to find anything other than what I assume is the same UK based VW online version of the owners manual which cannot be downloaded/saved.

One of them doesn't seem to be searchable, the GTE one does allow searching.
It would be good in VW AUS would allow download of the manual with VIN like the UK.

That GTE manual is great, and searchable. Obviously it's pretty much identical to our models for most functions. Many thanks, AJW.

Volkswagen ought to get with the times, and provide searchable pdf manuals for download, at least to owners, if not freely available.

I've got a MK8 GTI and it took me a couple of days on and off to read the paper manual it came with.
It's much better reading and being able to search a PDF version.
There's a lot more going on in these cars now so you really need to read the manual.
Ideally VW needs to be doing "user videos" broken into various topics, as it's easier seeing someone do something rather than trying to read it, especially with the new Infotainment system and dash.
I'm still trying to work out how to see the Odometer (total km) without going for a drive and stopping the ignition where it comes up on the display.
