With Cupra making its landing in Australia next year would it be worth setting up a Cupra sub-forum? Especially as they have officially spun off from SEAT.

Maybe in 'Other VAG Brands' for now?

Really excited to pre-order when the books open up. Should be interesting times in 2022.

A bit of a bump.

Also, Cupra Born EV: sneaking into the mix a bit later on (https://www.drive.com.au/news/2023-cupra-born-coming-to-australia-details-of-electric-hot-hatch-leak/).

The concept is really not quite sure to me. I want to learn more.

Man I wish they would bring the Seat Formentor VZ5 to Aust.....I would definitely consider trading our family hauler 2015 Audi SQ5 V6 TDI on one of those. Id love to own a car with the 5 cylinder Audi engine and the RSQ3 is a awkward and ugly looking thing (and too small), and the RS3 would be perfect for me but wife does not like it.

I agree, Lucas. I was excited about the VZ25 too, until I learnt there would only be 7000 worldwide and none for Australia ....

I like Cupra as niche brand and would certainly consider 1 in a year or 2 although the 2022 Macan S is still at the top of my shopping list atm.

The Formentor VZ5 would have been an awesome addition to launch the brand here. Unfortunately no RHD models were made, with VW Australia saying they weren't ready to push for the model. It probably would have done well in UK and NZ too. Article for that linked here (https://www.motoring.com.au/cupra-formentor-vz5-too-quick-for-oz-130721/).

They have some basic details on the AU website found here (http://www.cupraofficial.com.au), but no exact pricing. All reports are a fixed price model, so they would need to be sharp to gain attention.
