It’s disappointing that the Dealers can’t even do this as part of the pre-delivery
Have you asked the dealer for assistance?

How would they know which stations you wanted. Dealer told me they would update maps at service times but didnt say how they do it

Have you conducted extensive testing in different locations with your AM reception? Your end of Sydney is not noted for great reception quality. The AM quality with current VW radios are not the best to begin with anyway.
A good fix for poor AM reception is using your android auto/carplay and playing a HD radio app.
As for radio logo, the MIB3 has changed from the MIB2 which is a completely different setup for radio logos. At this stage even the geeks on the German sites can't work out how to modify radio logos or load them without carnet.
Going into your dealership and asking them to help will only leave you frustrated as they don't have any idea what to do yet.

From Volkswagen NZ
Thanks for your email.
We are aware of the MIB3 inability to load the radio logos and have raised this to the factory in Germany through our product team.
At this stage we have not received any updates from the factory re a fix. . We are working tirelessly with the factory to produce a solution for New Zealand so please rest assured that we will let you know as soon as we know more.

My AM radio problem still there after two visits to the dealer, but I discovered that when I change channel several time the crackling on all AM stations disappear.
Any idea why?
I will go to see the dealer again after the restrictions
