What weighs more a ton of gear knobs or a ton of feathers?

This has to be the worst thread I've seen in the Polo section.
What does the weight of the gear knob have to do with anything?

well i have heard that changing the weight of the gearknob will give certain feel when changing gear.. I was just wondering the weight to the original knob in comparison to a new gearknob to purchase.....Don't Have to be a KNOB about it!

How would a gear knobs weight have anything to do with how the shift feels?? I would say bugger all to none...Not on something this small anyway...If anything, it would come down to mechanical advantage(gear stick length), and not the weight of a bit of leather bound plastic.

good call. i don't think at this scale a gear knob would make any noticeable difference. but hey, if you are set on it, as said before, there are a few people that have removed theirs, so you can ask them. :)
here is a photo of me and a few mates installing my new gear knob, i dont think gear shifts will feel much different.
