Hi all,
I have a problem with my MY2016 B8 Petrol wagon. Fuse F5 in the engine bay fuse panel blew twice in one day. This cuts the engine immediately.
All electrics that I can see remain operational and the only thing on the display is "ACC fault".

It's an intermittent problem. I can still drive the car until the fuse blows again. I took the vehicle to 2 local Auto electricians and they both do not know where to start looking because they can't find out what the function of fuse F5 is. I am trying to avoid a long drawn out diagnostic process at a VW dealer :(
Here are my questions:
1. Does anyone know where I can get access to a full Fuse diagram for the engine bay fuse panel?
2. Has anyone heard of this particular fault

Below is an image of the engine bay fuse panel.

F5 should be ignition
Might be time to take it to VW.

Is your car a 1.8L or 2.0L petrol?

How long have you owned the car?

Hi, my car is a 1.8l.
It was first purchased in Nov 2015. I'm the second owner for the last 17 months

An update.

This morning as I drove to work, the car was running fine but the the check engine light has turned on.
I will take the car to the VW dealer or specialist ASAP. Hopefully the fault is logged in the computer.

Another update if anyone is curious.
I took the car to a VW specialist. They found the water pump had failed and was leaking water into the sensors and electrical wires attached to it. It was an internal leak, it could not be seen from the outside.
New water pump and thermostat assembly was fitted. Problem solved.

Good to hear the problem is found and fixed. I had a leaking water pump when my B8 206Tsi was only 2 years old.

Mine was leaking + fuel pump too, found during service by VW village then I went to dealer to fix it under warranty.

This problem from 2019 is back in my B8.

The VW specialist has told me that the fuse F5 has is for the circuit that powers the power relay, the port fuel injectors and the Cam control solenoids. None of these show a fault at the mechanic (it only happens intermittently).
They will try swapping parts out as a next step.

Has anyone had a failure in any of these components?
