Ok, was that a self application or did you get it done somewhere? Have you got a written process because that looks HOT and I'd love to do that to mine in order to get the brake dust to come off easier!

If you want to stop the brake dust - a better and more long term solution is just to change the brake pads. It's really easy and now that you have a VCDS, you can do the rears aswell.

Good job. I bet it looks a lot better in person.

I got it done. The shop said they wet sanded it with 2000 grit and then clear coated.

I would love to do that if the Norwegian Public Roads Administration was not so aggressive with fining cars with tinted front side windows.

I haven't noticed any problems with brake dust, but there are less dusting braked pads?

Here in Australia at least, just about all European cars are notorious for having very dusty brake pads (compared to the Japanese cars we get). There are many theories as to why this is the case.
For example - Europe has banned the use of certain materials in brake pads, and this led to the development of a dustier brake pad. Or - Germany has autobahn's, and the brakes must be designed to stop a car from very high speed even when the brakes are cold - so European cars use a softer/dustier brake pad.
Hawk Performance is a company that makes low dust pads for street use.

In a previous car I also used a pad called "RB74" from an Australian company called "Race Brakes" - they were designed for street use aswell. They were also incredibly low dust compared to the factory VW pads. That said, I don't think Race Brakes makes their own pads anymore and instead now, just resells other manufacturers.
