Hi all,

Can someone recommend me a smash repairer in Syd area? I did a quick search and Prestige Autobody shop seems to have good reviews. Does anyone have experience with them?

Never been there but they repair quite a lot prestige cars like Land Rover and Jaguar. Tried to get a quote and ended up with quite high price. Be prepared.

The quality should be good.

It's an insurance job and I was not at fault.

If you have the option to choose your repair then have a try.

My used repairer told me the insurance company was tight on what they spent.

Okay, thanks man, will try. VW website have a list of authorised repairer, only 5 in NSW though. I don't have to follow that list, do I? My car is still under manufacturer's warranty.

I don’t think you need.

Been to ragatta. Not impressed. Minor repair.

Is this near the VW service centre in Artarmon? If so, my Passat was sent there for an insurance claim when I was rear ended 2 years ago. Cracked bumper and some scratches to be done.

They were very professional and the job nicely done. I had no hassles with them. Car was complete as planned.

I ended up bringing it to Basha Autohaus at West Ryde (close to my house). 5.0 Google rating from 200ish reviewers. Even though reviews can be bought but I'd think if they did bad jobs, people would've put negative ratings.

Will do. They will arrange for loan car as well, looks promising so far.

The loan car is not promising at all. Can’t compare it with a VW [emoji1787]

Well I asked two other repairers, they don't arrange for loan cars. Then again, Allianz gives me 3-week car rental, but the repairer say they can arrange for rental cars for not-at-fault driver and bill it to the at-fault insurer.

That’s right.
