Hi All

I have just bought a V6 Amarok and have fitted what I believed to be genuine side steps (which I sourced privately). The step treads are a hard plastic and are quite slippery when wet. I was wanting to replace these with rubber treads for safety reasons. (I don't want the wife or kids having an accident slipping off them.) Anyone know if these are a part that can be bought? I haven't had any luck checking VW part sites.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Bernie

All the OEM steps use the same plastic tread bits. I have not seen otherwise. You will have to try aftermarket which may mean you have to sell yours.

I use more mine a lot and haven’t noticd them to be slippery even when wet.

Thanks for your reply. I have since checked quite a few Amaro's with side steps and they are all the same as mine ,so it appears I did find genuine ones after all. Good to know you have had no problems with slips with yours.

Cheers.
